Lorebox Privacy Policy

Lorebox organizes your ChatGPT and Claude chats. It's operated by Volodya Khurshudyan, an individual based in the Republic of Armenia. This policy explains what happens to your data.

Free plan

Your data stays in your browser. Lorebox reads the chats you open on chatgpt.com and claude.ai and saves them on your device. On the free plan, chats, folders and tags are never sent to us or anyone else. You can use the free plan without an account.

If you import a ChatGPT or Claude data export, the file is read on your device and its chats are saved in your browser. The file isn't uploaded anywhere.

Keeping Lorebox working

ChatGPT and Claude change their pages from time to time. So on every plan, Lorebox:

• Downloads an updated list of page selectors from our server. This is plain data, and the request contains nothing about you or your chats.
• Sends an anonymous report if it can't read a chat page several times in a row. A report contains only the site name (ChatGPT or Claude), the selectors version, the extension version, and the names of the selectors that failed. It never contains chat content, chat addresses or anything that identifies you, and we don't store IP addresses with reports.

Like any request on the internet, these reach our server from your IP address, which our rate limiting uses briefly and doesn't keep with the data.

Welcome and feedback pages

After you install Lorebox, it opens a welcome page on our website. If you remove it, Chrome opens a short page that asks why. Those addresses contain nothing about you, and the feedback form is optional. It is run by Tally, whose privacy policy covers what you enter.

Forms on our website

The waitlist and feedback forms are processed by Tally, which stores what you enter in the EU. Opening a page with a form loads it from Tally's servers. We use your waitlist email address only to tell you when Lorebox is ready to install, and your feedback only to improve Lorebox.

Signing in

If you sign in, we store your email address and send you sign-in links. If you sign in but don't have Pro, your chats still stay in your browser.

Pro sync

If you have Pro, your chats (titles, addresses and message text), folders and tags are sent to our server over HTTPS and stored there, so they can sync between your devices and be turned into PDFs. This data is encrypted in transit but isn't end-to-end encrypted, which means our server can read it in order to provide these features.

Payments

Paddle.com, our merchant of record, processes payments. We don't see or store your card details. We store your plan and your Paddle customer and subscription identifiers. Paddle's own privacy policy covers the details you give them.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't use your data for advertising.
• We don't include analytics or tracking in the extension.
• We don't call ChatGPT's or Claude's internal APIs. Lorebox only reads what's visible on the page.

Deleting your data

Removing the extension deletes the data stored in your browser. To delete your account and any synced data from our server, contact us at the address below.
